It’s true that you cannot formally sleep train a newborn but that doesn’t mean you can’t help your clients during the first three months of their child’s life. Establishing healthy sleep habits can start on day one. Learning to understand a child’s needs is crucial in establishing better sleep habits and can help parents get the much needed rest they need early on. During this 2 hour, one day workshop you will learn about Dr. Harvey Karp’s 5 S’s and how to implement them, learn the five cries that universally all babies have within the first three months of life, learn ways to introduce feeding and sleep schedules into a newborns life so that formal sleep training will be easier once they are four months of age. Most importantly, teach parents ways to help their baby and diminish parenthood stress.
*This course will count as two credits towards your continuing education classes.*
This class will start the first week of June so the exact date and time is still to be determined.
